I've bought dozens of copies of this book over the years to give away to others who were interested. I've even left some on park benches, even though I usually hate any kind of proselytizing... This healing work is nothing short of amazing, it turned my life around completely.I truly believe it can help almost anyone, because it sets in motion a natural healing process, using the body's innate ability (just like healing bruises or other injuries). It will always show you what is the next step on your Journey, which is often totally different than what you thought it would be. It also helps you connect with your own inner truth (which may also be totally different than what you thought it would be...) and with the parts of yourself you may have rejected or may not have access to, so the whole personality can come into harmony and blocks can be released.The book gives you a wonderful introduction to the work and the principles on which it is based. Just be aware that the Journey goes to very deep levels of your being and your experience, so the process can be very emotional and intense! Also, once you've done the process a few times and your old, ossified personality has clocked that it's being deconstructed, you can expect the corresponding amount of resistance to come up! The bigger the changes you wish to create the more you have to persevere in the work, despite all obstacles. That's just how life is I suppose...The basic process work is included in the book, and the book is even available for free as an ebook, so I don't think it's fair to dismiss it as a "marketing ploy". It's valid to point out that you can have a deeper experience by attending a group seminar where you're immersed in the work for several days. That's usually true in my experience.On a final note, the Publishers Weekly review above is very inaccurate. "Emotional reckoning and relaxation", well, that's part of it but that's not the essence of the Journey. Read the book and try the healing work for yourself, you won't regret it! Brandon Bays story is engaging as she shares her personal journey of healing. The book teaches the system and even gives you a script you can use. I liked this book so well that I even went to a Journey workshop. I've been to a variety of workshops and I saw some great breakthroughs for some of the people attending. I think this is a great tool for people who do counseling to integrate into their resources. You can do some real healing reading this book and taking the journey.I guess I want to add one more thing. I don't think there is any such thing as a panacea. Nothing is everything to everyone. The price of a book is a simple investment if it will bring you any degree of healing. I believe it to be worthwhile to explore and I'm really glad I read it. Best blessings!
